This sculpture was created after a trip to Morocco in early 2025. The fantastic rock formations I encountered left a strong impression, inspiring me to explore similar natural contrasts in my work. Rather than replicating what I had seen, I designed a self-standing egg shape. The form is carefully cut into to reveal a striking contrast between the smooth, polished exterior surface and a ragged, textured interior, reflecting the interplay between natural erosion and refined craftsmanship.The piece is crafted from durable resin and features a rusted iron finish, combining the lightweight properties of resin with the authentic appearance of aged metal. This finish provides a textured, weathered look that enhances the sculpture’s character while maintaining resistance to corrosion and wear. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor display, the rusted iron effect brings an industrial, timeless quality to the work.
